Software Engineering Intern

We are excited to welcome a talented Software Engineering Intern to our team. At Salto CloudWorks, we’re building the future of access control. In this role, you will work to automate our documentation creation system while gaining hands-on experience and working cross-functionally with all of our technical teams. You will work alongside a team of experienced developers and have the opportunity to solve real-life business problems facing every organisation.

As an Software Engineering Intern, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Working with Back-End, DevOps and Front-End teams to gather information and set up an initial state of our technical documentation.

• Research and recommend a solution to automate the documentation process.

• Implement the necessary tooling to automate the documentation process.

• Measure the results of the new tooling implementation and automation process.

• Communicate cross-functionally to understand the needs of each team and provide solutions that meet these needs.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is interested in learning about how businesses operate and how all the pieces come together.

• Has excellent communication skills and is confident communicating cross-functionally.

• Has some programming experience (basic is ok!). Familiarity with .NET is a plus. 

• Is willing to pick up new languages depending on team and tooling needs.

• Has a basic understanding of how code is built, deployed and integrated.

• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Technical documentation automation experience is a plus.

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will be based in our Amsterdam Office and work a 40-hour week. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with our experienced teams of developers and learn from their expertise.
